Author: Marvin S. Cox, Jr.

Marvin Stanley Cox, Jr. is a summer tent Evangelist, Theologian, and Christian author. He was born and raised in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains near Hinton, WV in Summers County. Marvin grew up without church mostly, but had a family who coached his beginning faith. He graduated from Pikeview High School in 1995 and went into the United States Marine Corps. After 8 years of service, Marvin knew he was missing something great. He began a struggle with deadly depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and he knew deeply that a change was needed. Marvin gave his life to the Lord in 2006 and was called to evangelism shortly after. Now, at 41 years old, Marvin is attending Bluefield College in the Bachelor of Theology and History program. He is currently working on his first book, Essential Christian, which is a work that aims to equip every Christian who reads it with God plated armor to live in this world as a Christian. He has wrote several articles and holds tent revivals where he is invited. Marvin Stanley Cox, Jr. works everything toward the mark of being transformed into a likeness of his loving Savior, Jesus Christ who gave His life for every one, everywhere, in all ages.
